Another day at the lake

June 18, 2011
This morning we woke up and had delicious homemade cinnamon rolls, thanks to my sister-in-law Tina. Then we all spent the day at a beautiful lake called Pinecrest. We rented paddle boats, kayaked, rode around on the motor boat, swam, and laid on the shore of this gorgeous lake surrounded by pine trees. We all got soft ice cream cones at the little snack stand. Why does ice cream taste so much better at the lake? In the evening we had French dip sandwiches then sat around the fire and sang and made s’mores. I am so lucky to be part of this great family.
The only sad part of the whole day was watching Josh and Keith play the guitars and sing, it wasn’t their guitar playing or singing that made me sad, well, maybe a little, but it made me think of Roy Vellinga and just how much we love and miss him.
